I ordered the bracelet as an insulin dependant diabetic just before going on holiday. I was disappointed when away to realise that the bracelet wasn’t watertight and each day I was having to dry out my contact and treatment notes. Because the cap was screwed on and off so many times because of this ultimately I lost the cap. However, on my return from holiday I contacted SOS who, within 24 hours, had sent me a replacement cap which is watertight, so I am now a very satisfied customer!

The service from this company was outstanding, the bracelet was with me within two days. The website was easy to use.
The bracelet itself – it’s sensible for me to wear it, but it really annoys the hell out of me trailing around my wrist, but I make sure I wear it when I go out. I feel much more secure knowing that if I’m taken ill or have an accident when I’m out of the house one look at the contents of the bracelet would let a paramedic or hospital staff know I’ve got an obscure condition that if not known about will damage my kidneys.
So I feel happier for wearing it.
Improvements? The bracelet is heavy, and the bit with the information in constantly bangs against my hand and drives me mad. If there is ever a lightweight version (that’s affordable) I’ll be first in the line.
And the service from the company? I can only think of one thing, and that it would have been nice to have had an email telling me of the dispatch as I would have known what day to stay home.
So – no problems really, just a couple of minor points. I’m sure I’m not the only person in the world who finds bracelets irritating, but not so irritating that I’d wear one round my neck instead.

I was so excited to have and wear my bracelet, however, having only received it in December 2010……I have had issues with the clasp and in fact just lost my bracelet this evening. I am saddened and my wrist feels naked!!! I have just order 2 more bracelets so that if this happens again, I will have a spare. I love it, but wonder if there is not a way to have a back up in case the clasp comes open.?????
Now I will count the days until I receive my new bracelets

As I have a pacemaker, take warfarin and a number of other drugs, am allergic to penicillin and common painkillers and have a knee replacement, I thought an SOS might cut down the time for the emergency services and doctors to discover this if I was unconscious after an accident. It also saves time alerting next of kin.
I haven’t been swimming with it on, so it has yet to pass the waterproof test. Otherwise, it looks OK, and feels quite comfortable worn below my watch.
I feel quite strongly that the medical profession and others should have this information to prevent mistakes in treatment, and so I have bought one for my brother-in-law, who has similar conditions to mine.
